Just less than an hour before Monday Night RAW hits the air, the drama has already started backstage—and the big names are piling up.
CM Punk is officially in Phoenix, Arizona for tonight’s RAW taping at the Footprint Center, and according to internal plans, he’s scheduled to appear early in the broadcast.
But Punk’s not the only wildcard in town. AJ Styles has also been spotted backstage ahead of tonight’s Netflix-streamed RAW. While there’s no word yet if he’ll appear on camera.
This backstage update comes as RAW is already stacked on paper. WWE World Heavyweight Champion Jey Uso defends against GUNTHER, Seth Rollins and John Cena are both slated to appear, and Nikki Bella is returning to help push the build toward the July 13 Evolution 2 event.
Bayley is also expected to make her return, according to a BodySlam.net spoiler, marking her first appearance since WrestleMania 41 season. If tonight’s show plays out the way insiders are hinting, WWE’s women’s division—and RAW as a whole—might be in for a serious shakeup.
Ringside News will be providing live play-by-play coverage of this week’s show over in our WWE Monday Night RAW coverage hub. It promises to be a memorable episode for many reasons, so it remains to be seen how the episode will turn out.
