AEW Star Says Hulk Hogan Should Be Written Out of Wrestling

WWE Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan remains a controversial figure because of his racist comments that became public in 2015 and his lack of a clear apology afterwards. That’s exactly why it’s not a shocker that an AEW star stated that Hogan should be completely written out of wrestling history.

While speaking to Monte & The Pharaoh, AEW star Rachael Ellering was asked if people are just trying to find reasons to hate wrestlers like Hulk Hogan, or if the hate is sometimes justified. She was also asked if she thinks Hulk Hogan should be removed from wrestling.

Ellering said that in some cases, the hate is completely fair. She thinks it’s been a good thing that wrestling has started to move away from people who have done bad things or acted in harmful ways.

“I think some cases are so warranted, yeah. And I think that’s something that has been a good progression in the last couple of years in wrestling—trying to get some of these really scummy people out of wrestling or at least limit what they’re doing.

Um, because there are so many really, really good people in wrestling. Give them the time, give them the money, give them the focus, right? Like, these people—I call them buttheads. I’m like, we don’t need these buttheads.”

Rachael said there are so many kind and talented people in wrestling who deserve more chances, money, and attention. She said there’s no need to keep giving time to the people who cause problems when others are more worthy.

Ellering believes that some people really do deserve to be removed from wrestling because of how badly they’ve acted, just like they would be removed from any other job. In the end, she clearly said she thinks Hulk Hogan should be written out of wrestling.

“There are plenty of extremely talented, genuinely good people who are deserving of these spots and time and bookings and fanfare. Get the bad ones out of here, ’cause some of them genuinely deserve to be written off. They’re terrible human beings that, in any line of work, would be written off. And so I think for some people, it’s totally justified. I think Hulk Hogan should be written out of wrestling, yeah.”

Hulk Hogan even got blasted by MVP earlier this year for his racist remarks and refusal to apologize for the same. That’s also why Seth Rollins has a ton of hatred for Hulk Hogan right now as well. Therefore, it’s clear there are a lot of people who can’t stand Hulk Hogan and that’s not going to change anytime soon.
