R-Truth’s WWE exit may have shocked fans, but he’s not slowing down anytime soon.
According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the veteran performer already has interest from major promotions—TNA Wrestling—alongside a full schedule of indie appearances if he wants it.
Dave Meltzer noted that R-Truth could stay busy with “independent dates, merchandise, and autograph appearances,” but hinted something bigger could be brewing.
“I don’t know that AEW would or wouldn’t take him. Really it comes down to if Tony Khan wants a comedy character and they come to a price agreement.”
But it’s TNA Wrestling that’s already put their cards on the table.
“Those in TNA have already said that they want to make him an offer, and for that company, he’ll come in fairly hot.”
Despite WWE quietly cutting ties with the longtime performer, R-Truth doesn’t appear bitter. WWE Hall of Famer Teddy Long revealed during Road Trip After Hours that Truth is in good spirits and might even see this as divine timing.
“I talked to Truth, and he’s happy with it. I saw his statement that he made after the release. So you know, it’s like this with me. If Truth is happy, I love it.”
“God does things for a reason. This may be the best thing to ever happen to him.”
Podcast co-host Mac Davis added that fans might finally get a deeper version of R-Truth than what WWE allowed over the years.
“We might see the R-Truth that we have never got to see where he’s allowed to be him.”
From his run as Ron Killings in TNA to years of comedy gold in WWE, R-Truth has proven time and again that he’s versatile, entertaining, and still in demand. Whether he chooses AEW, TNA, or the indie grind, one thing is clear—R-Truth isn’t finished just yet.
