Cora Jade is known as Elayna Black once again after her WWE release. That was shocking news for fans, but she saw it coming.
During the Ariel Helwani show, the former Cora Jade spoke about her WWE release. She actually saw it coming, with premonitions that it was going to happen months before the company actually wished her the best in her future endeavors.
As much as she tried not to manifest her WWE NXT release, Cora Jade eventually got the call that she was cut. This came after she received a warning that WWE cuts were going down from a former Superstar.
“Obviously the initial shock of it all, even though I knew it was coming. I’m just like very weird with my intuitions, I always have been. So, I just have that gut feeling. I think it was November that I had a gut feeling that I was gonna be gone, and then the stuff, like it was up and down, then maybe like two weeks before the cuts, we were in Vegas, I was like, ‘I’ve gotta make it good cause I’m not coming back here.'”
“Yeah, I had that gut feelings, and I didn’t want it to be right, it’s like ‘oh my god, don’t manifest it,’ but it’s like I had that gut feeling. That day I was in the car going to hang out with Bea Priestly now, formerly Blair Davenport, and she called me and said Josh just got fired, her husband, so I was like ‘I’ll keep my ringer on,’ and sure as Hell, two minutes later, I got the call. I was like, it is what it is.”
We will have to see what Elayna Black does next in the pro wrestling world. AEW could be an option for her, and her presence on the company’s roster could also give them another great competitor with the experience they need.
WWE operates in a very different way now that TKO is calling the shots. Releases are still coming, and sometimes they can sting when a fan-favorite is cut. Elayna Black will land on her feet, and only time will tell how far her star rises in the pro wrestling world.
