AJ Francis has been booked like a big deal ever since he joined TNA Wrestling last year and his feud with Joe Hendry is definitely a memorable one. Keeping that in mind, Francis has now claimed credit for Joe Hendry’s recent success.

While speaking to WhatCulture Wrestling, AJ Francis talked about Joe Hendry’s success in wrestling and said Hendry had been doing the same thing for ten years without getting anywhere. But after they had a feud, Hendry suddenly became one of the biggest names in wrestling as Francis claimed credit for Hendry’s success.

AJ Francis pointed out that about a year ago at the Rebellion pay-per-view, Hendry went viral twice, once when Alisha danced on him, and another time when Sean Merriman hit him with a clothesline. AJ Francis said he was the one who helped make those moments happen. The next night they filmed Hendry’s rock concert, which also went viral, and AJ was there in the studio with Bun B.

“Joe Hendry is the reason. Let’s be fair. Joe Hendry did the same thing for ten years and got nowhere. He had one feud with me, and then he’s the biggest thing in wrestling. That’s a fact.

Check the timeline. A year ago today, actually, was Rebellion when he went viral twice. Once because Alisha was twerking on him. The other time because Sean Merriman gave him a clothesline. Who you think set those up? Then the very next night, we filmed the Joe Hendry rock concert that went viral—and Bun B and me were in the studio.”

AJ Francis said Hendry has written songs about other big wrestlers like Drew McIntyre and others, but those songs didn’t make him a star. What really made Hendry stand out, according to AJ, was the feud with him. He finished by saying that if people don’t like hearing that, it’s because they’re upset with the truth, and he doesn’t care.

“Who’s he singing that song about? Like, let’s just be real. It’s not like he hasn’t had other stars to sing songs about. He sang about LAN night. He sang about Drew McIntyre. Sang about all these other guys that are bona fide stars. That didn’t make him a star. What made him a star was talking about me. That’s a fact. If you don’t like that, you’re mad at facts. So I don’t give a s***.”

Some people think AJ Francis is full of himself, while others think he’s just being honest. Either way, he says his feud with Joe Hendry is what helped Hendry become the success that he is now and nothing will change his mind on that claim.
