Mike Santana isn’t holding back when it comes to Trick Williams walking around with the TNA World Championship.
During his May 2025 appearance on Busted Open Radio, Santana made it clear that Trick doesn’t belong with that belt—and he plans to do something about it.
Trick Williams, currently an NXT star, captured the TNA World Title during the recent crossover between WWE and TNA, defeating Joe Hendry. But for longtime TNA names like Santana, that title means more than just status—it’s a symbol of loyalty, legacy, and hard work. And according to Santana, Trick doesn’t represent any of that. When asked about Trick holding the championship, Santana didn’t mince words.
“I’ve made it as clear as day that, you know, the TNA World Title has been in my sights for a while now. And the fact that someone who isn’t in our locker room has it makes that fire that much stronger. You know what I mean?”
He took it a step further, calling out what he sees as a lack of respect for the TNA brand.
“And especially someone who doesn’t respect the work that we’ve put in to build our brand and build our company. I honestly just don’t think he understands what this all means.”
For Santana, this isn’t just about adding another belt to his résumé—it’s about defending what the TNA locker room built from the ground up. He stressed that his mission is bigger than personal glory.
“I’m representing not just my city, my culture, but an entire locker room… Trick’s never come across someone like me. He’s never come face-to-face with this kind of fire.”
The tension is boiling ahead of their title match on WWE NXT. Santana wants to rip the belt off Trick and bring it home to the people who earned it—those who bleed TNA through and through.
