WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross is currently battling colon cancer and will be undergoing surgery very soon. Ahead of his surgery, Good Ol’ JR has revealed whether he will make it in time for AEW All In: Texas.

Ross mentioned he has cancer but couldn’t remember exactly where, saying it’s in two places and doctors are going to remove it. He admitted he’s kind of blocked out the details without meaning to.
“Getting ready for surgery and that’s always stressful. But, I’ve prepared myself mentally and physically to endure the situation.
I got cancer and I’ll think of it in a minute. Isn’t that something? I have separated myself from the specifics of this situation, a lot, and I don’t mean to do it. It just happens. I have — I’m trying to think of that. Cancer of the what? I can’t remember what I got. I got ‘em in two places and they’re gonna take ‘em out today. I believe today.”
Conrad Thompson reminded him that the surgery is at 6 a.m. the next day, which would be on May 27th, saying, “Surgery is tomorrow at 6 AM, right, Jim?” to which Jim Ross said, “Yes.”
Jim Ross was then asked if there’s a chance he’ll be commentating at AEW All In: Texas. He responded with confidence, saying he expects to be there.
The WWE Hall of Famer explained that his recovery time won’t be long, as he’s undergoing a unique procedure involving laser surgery done by computer. Ross believes he’ll be up and ready to go within a couple of weeks.
“Hell yeah, I think so, why not? The time to recover is not long. I think I’m actually getting a laser—guy’s doing surgery via computer, which is kinda unique. So I think I’ll be up and able to go in a couple of weeks.”
