AEW’s All In: Texas is set to take over Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas on July 12th, and the show will feature AEW Women’s Title being defended and it appears that AEW’s plans for the Women’s Title have been planned long in advance.
According to Fightful Select, it has been reported that the plan for the Women’s Title match at All In: Texas has been in place for a number of months now, so it’s clear AEW has a long-term vision for the program.
“We’re told that the plan for the All In Women’s Title match has been in effect for a number of months.“
The storylines came to a head during AEW’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view, where Toni Storm successfully defended her AEW Women’s Championship against Mina Shirakawa. Storm’s victory means she will carry the title into the All In: Texas event, defending her championship on one of AEW’s biggest stages.
As for the challenger, Mercedes Moné defeated Jamie Hayter in the finals of the Women’s Owen Hart Cup tournament, and so she will face Toni Storm AEW Women’s Title at All In: Texas.
AEW is focusing on long-term stories and making the Women’s Title more important. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see whether the CEO of AEW will be able to defeat Toni Storm or whether Storm will successfully retain the title, as it’s clear AEW has been planning all of this for a long time now.
