Nikki Garcia is done staying quiet.
On a new episode of The Nikki & Brie Show on SiriusXM, the former WWE star, known as Nikki Bella, came out swinging against online backlash surrounding her divorce from Artem Chigvintsev and the speculation tied to a domestic violence incident. In an emotional statement, Nikki made it clear that she’s not the villain in this story—despite what the internet may think.
“Where I have a hard time—and I was like, ‘I’m going to kill this sh*t’—is just how everyone’s making it like I’m guilty. I lost. I was a liar,” Nikki said. “I haven’t lied about one thing, and I’m going to just make that clear. I have not lied about one thing. The cops never asked me for autographs or photographs. I have been so damn honest from day one.”
She went on to explain why she’s been able to move forward with confidence despite public criticism.
“That’s why when everyone says, ‘She’s glowing, she’s so happy,’ it’s because I’ve lived in my truth,” she said. “You guys, I know how to take accountability. I know what it’s like not to be perfect. I’m not a perfect person.”
Nikki also pointed out that if the situation had been reversed, she wouldn’t have hesitated to own it. “But if something like that—if it was opposite—I would have taken accountability. I would’ve said, ‘I f**ked up. I need help.’ But that was not me that day.”
Her sister and co-host Brie Garcia added support, saying simply, “It wasn’t.”
Nikki wrapped up her statement by calling out the unfair double standard she feels she’s been held to. “When I see people write all these things—because I’m a pro wrestler, that’s not fair. And because I’m a strong, independent woman, that’s not fair.”
This raw, unfiltered moment gave fans a deeper look into what Nikki’s been going through behind the scenes—and it’s clear she’s not backing down.
