Hulk Hogan is eyeing a major comeback for Hooters as his Real American Brands makes a serious move to acquire the iconic restaurant chain’s intellectual property.
According to TMZ Sports, the WWE Hall of Famer and his company are on a mission to take over brands that embody “freedom, grit, and good times,” and they believe Hooters fits that mold perfectly.
Real American CEO Terri Francis laid out the vision, explaining how they plan to modernize Hooters while staying true to its roots. “Hooters is more than just wings and nostalgia — it’s part of the American story,” Francis said. “We see enormous potential to modernize the brand without losing its bold identity. Under our umbrella, Hooters will return to the spotlight as a symbol of unfiltered Americana — fun, fearless, and proudly American.”
The brand is looking to expand its reach far beyond its current footprint, with plans to tap into consumer products, digital content, gaming, and other entertainment ventures aimed at engaging a younger audience.
Hogan, who launched Real American Beer last year, sees Hooters as a natural fit for his brand’s all-American image. This move isn’t exactly out of nowhere — sources close to Hogan’s camp mentioned back in April that they were “very intrigued” about the opportunity to breathe new life into Hooters, calling it a perfect match.
Hooters has struggled to stay afloat in recent years and filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March to restructure its debts. With Hogan’s Real American Brands looking to step in, the company could see a resurgence under new leadership and a new vision.
