Zelina Vega Wants to Defend WWE Women’s US Title in AAA and NXT

Zelina Vega is looking to prove herself as a fighting champion after capturing the WWE Women’s United States Championship by defeating Chelsea Green on Friday Night SmackDown. Now, she’s got her sights set on defending the title beyond just the main roster, including AAA and NXT.

During an interview with Good Karma Wrestling, Vega revealed her desire to take the championship to different promotions and test herself against top talents.

“I mean, I want to defend this title as much as I can. You know, we just had the merge with Triple A. So, I mean, I’d love to take it out there. I’d love to wrestle Stephanie Vora there. You know, that’d be super dope. I’d love to take it to NXT, wrestle Julia there, you know, maybe Kani or I’d love to take it to, you know, Stardom and go and wrestle out there,” Vega said.

Vega also emphasized that her reign as US Champion is an opportunity to show fans a new side of herself.

“However, and whenever, I’d love to defend this championship and kind of show people who Zelina Vega is as a champion. You know, you’ve seen Zelina as a manager, you’ve seen her as, you know, the singles competitor in LWO version. There’s been very different versions of me, but now seeing me as the United States Champion, I want to be a fighting champion and make sure that this is, you know, I put my stamp on this.”

Since winning the title, Vega has made it clear she wants to elevate the championship by defending it against a variety of opponents across multiple platforms. With her ambitious plans to bring the belt to AAA, NXT, and even Stardom, the WWE Women’s US Title could become one of the most sought-after championships in the company.
