Drew McIntyre’s night at WWE Backlash 2025 may have ended in more than just a loss.

During the opening Fatal 4-Way match for the WWE United States Championship, McIntyre reportedly suffered an injury after a rough landing at the Enterprise Center in St. Louis.

According to PWInsider, the incident occurred when Damian Priest delivered his “South of Heaven” finisher, but instead of crashing through the table, McIntyre’s head reportedly missed it entirely and struck the floor. WWE medical personnel are now evaluating McIntyre, with sources indicating that he’s being closely monitored as a precaution.

McIntyre was part of a chaotic contest featuring United States Champion Jacob Fatu, Damian Priest, and LA Knight. While the full extent of McIntyre’s condition is not yet known, WWE is expected to provide further updates as more information becomes available.
