Shotzi Blackheart is opening up about the frustration she felt during her final months in WWE, revealing how inconsistent communication left her in limbo.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Shotzi said she was eager to return to the ring after being cleared in December. Despite her excitement, things quickly took a confusing turn when WWE’s creative plans for her started to unravel.

Shotzi recalled how she initially reached out to NXT management to get some ring time while waiting for her main roster return. “I text Russo and I was like, ‘Hey, I’m probably not gonna come back to the main roster for a little bit. Can I get a little run at NXT? You know, find my ring legs back,’” she said. The plan was set for a two-month NXT run to help her rebuild momentum, working with Gigi Dolin and Tatum Paxley – two talents she believed in.

But just as she was getting comfortable in NXT, WWE abruptly pulled her back to SmackDown. Shotzi said she was told she’d be starting a storyline with Chelsea Green. They even rehearsed her entrance on the big screen, only for it to be cut with no explanation. “They’re like rehearsing my entrance on the Tron and then they cut it. And then it was like week after week nothing and nothing,” she said.

Feeling left in the dark, Shotzi’s frustration grew as her WWE contract expiration date loomed closer. Now, she’s moving forward with a clearer sense of what she wants – and it might not involve WWE at all.
