Tom Brady just dropped a controversial pick for the greatest WWE superstar of all time, and it’s Hulk Hogan.

During his appearance on Impaulsive with Logan Paul, the NFL icon was asked who he considers the WWE GOAT. Without hesitation, Brady said, “Hulk Hogan.”

Brady’s choice comes at a strange time, considering Hogan has been catching heat for a recent slip-up involving Shelton Benjamin. While promoting his Real American Freestyle Wrestling promotion, Hogan attempted to name-drop some of the top amateur wrestlers he’s encountered. But instead of giving Benjamin proper credit, Hogan referred to him as “Benjamin Shelton.”

The botched name drop didn’t sit well with Benjamin, who fired back on May 6. He took to Twitter and didn’t mince words, writing, “Message to @HulkHogan. You lost me forever with your ‘don’t get caught’ …or as you would call it ‘apology’ speech. So rather than screw up my name and pretend we ever had any sort of camaraderie which we never had. Please do me a favor &” — the tweet ended with a meme of Will Smith shouting, “KEEP MY NAME OUT OF YOUR F**KING MOUTH.”

Benjamin’s rant was a clear reference to Hogan’s widely criticized apology over racist comments that leaked years ago, comments that still haunt Hogan’s reputation today.

Meanwhile, Brady’s pick of Hogan as the WWE GOAT is also raising eyebrows. The former WWE Champion remains a polarizing figure, and with Tom Brady potentially attending WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, his endorsement of Hogan is bound to draw mixed reactions.

What do you think about Tom Brady calling Hulk Hogan the WWE GOAT? Was it a well-deserved nod or a major misstep given Hogan’s controversial past? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
