Thekla is officially headed to All Elite Wrestling after weeks of speculation about her next move. The Austrian star is set to make her debut stateside after wrapping up a three-year run with STARDOM in Japan.
According to Fightful Select, Thekla agreed to terms with AEW after planning her move to the United States for quite some time. The deal was reportedly in the works for months, despite WWE’s long-standing interest in bringing her in. WWE had been actively scouting international talent, with Thekla seen as a prime target after Giulia’s signing and IYO SKY’s success.
In a November 2024 interview with Grapsody, Thekla hinted at her desire to wrestle in America, saying, “Hell yeah, of course. I have no idea why I’m not already over there. There’s plenty of girls and women I’d love to wrestle in the States, throughout all companies.”
Now, with the deal signed, AEW has secured one of wrestling’s most sought-after international stars. Whether she’ll debut immediately or take some time to acclimate to the AEW roster remains to be seen.
