The shocking attack on Jey Uso after the May 5 episode of WWE RAW wasn’t just a random moment—it was part of a calculated plan by WWE to stir up the internet.

The main event of Monday’s RAW saw Seth Rollins walk away with a disqualification win in a World Heavyweight Championship match, thanks to outside chaos from Paul Heyman, Bron Breakker, and CM Punk. The Netflix broadcast ended with Jey Uso still holding onto his gold, but the real jaw-dropper came afterward.

In footage shared across social media, Logan Paul blindsided Jey Uso after the show ended—sucker-punching the champ at ringside while wearing a black hoodie. It didn’t air on Netflix, and now we know why.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE “wanted to surprise people” and made the call to run the segment exclusively after the cameras stopped rolling. “The idea was that WWE would push this angle on social media,” Meltzer added, revealing that the move was completely intentional.

Jey’s reign as World Heavyweight Champion has been under a microscope ever since WrestleMania 41, when he dethroned GUNTHER and ended his 258-day reign. With Logan Paul now inserting himself into the mix, things just got even more unpredictable.

Do you think WWE made the right call by saving the Logan Paul attack for social media? Should this have aired live instead? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
