Jackie Redmond didn’t appear on the May 5 episode of WWE Monday Night RAW, and now she’s explaining exactly why—and it had nothing to do with the show’s drama.
In a Twitter update posted on May 6, Redmond dropped the real reason behind her absence, and it all comes down to pure burnout from a brutal travel schedule.
“For those in my mentions not understanding why I wasn’t on RAW last night. This was my round one of NHL playoffs: 12 days, 14 flights 🤯, 6 hockey games, RAW in-between,” she wrote. Redmond added, “Since the WWE euro tour 6 weeks ago, I have spent just 6 full days at home. lol. Ya girl needed a break.”
The night of RAW, Redmond had already teased her absence in an Instagram Story video from Montreal, saying, “So, I am in Montreal, Canada, waiting to get on a plane. Duh. But I’m not in Omaha.” She explained that a red-eye flight to Omaha didn’t pan out and vaguely mentioned she had to “take [herself] off of RAW for another reason that I won’t get into.” Adding to the chaos, she also attended a hockey game that went into double overtime and would’ve made her miss the flight anyway.
Even with everything going sideways, she tried to keep things light: “So, you know, it all works out sometimes. But here we are. I won’t be there. Single tear. I’m so sorry. But I’ll be watching from home.”
Redmond’s honesty resonated with fans who saw just how hard she’s been grinding across both sports and wrestling coverage. And while she missed RAW, the night still delivered with matches like IYO SKY vs. Roxanne Perez and Penta vs. JD McDonagh, plus segments with Becky Lynch, Rusev, and Seth Rollins.
