Chelsea Green was left off the WrestleMania 41 card, and she admitted being upset over not being part of the event. With that in mind, Green has now been criticized for publicly complaining about being left off WrestleMania 41.

While speaking on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, the host mentioned how Chelsea Green publicly voiced her frustration over being left off WrestleMania 41 and pointed out the night after her comments, Green dropped the Women’s United States Title to Zelina Vega. He proceeded to ask Teddy Long whether Green’s comments could lead to some backstage heat.

Teddy Long criticized Chelsea Green for voicing her frustrations publicly. According to Long, showing you’re upset about losing or about creative decisions is one of the worst things a wrestler can do.

Long shared a story about when he was told he’d be part of a casket segment, which scared him but he kept it to himself. He understood that if he refused, someone else like Vince McMahon, would have just done it instead. He ended it by saying that if someone doesn’t like their creative direction, there’s always someone else ready to take their place.

“You can’t let these people know your truth—that you’re upset about losing a match or you’re upset about something. That’s the worst thing you could ever do. When they came to me and told me that I was going to be in that casket that day—who wants to be in a casket? Okay, brother? I’m horrified. But I never said, I never let them know, because I understand this: if I hadn’t have got in that casket, Vince would have got in it. It’s just that simple. So how you gonna tell the WWE what you’re not going to do when there’s somebody there that will do it?”‘

This comes after Chelsea Green was asked about fans wanting a Women’s Intercontinental Title and Women’s United States Title match at WrestleMania. She said WrestleMania is the biggest event of the year, and she really hoped those titles would be included.

Green felt a lot of people supported the idea but understood there wasn’t enough time for everything. Even though she was upset over not being part of WrestleMania 41, she said she was proud of the women who were and thought they did a great job.

“I mean, at the end of the day, of course after a crazy year, the pinnacle is WrestleMania. So I felt the want and the need for these titles to be on the show—I wanted them to be on the show. But at the end of the day, you know, we only have so many hours and so many spots on the card. And I think that the women that were on the show did an amazing job of representing all of us. So although I’m upset and I wish I could have been on it, I’m really proud of the girls.”

Chelsea Green also bid farewell to WWE for the time being after losing the Women’s United States Championship. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see when Green will return to WWE television and what the company will have planned for her once she’s back.
