Before the NXT Roadblock event this year, reports suggested that Giulia was dealing with an injury, which is why she took some time off after the event. With that in mind, Giulia has now confirmed that she really was injured at the time.
Giulia confirmed in her column with Weekly Pro Wrestling that she had been dealing with an injury. The Beautiful Madness added that she had no choice but to work hard in order to get to the main roster, which has so many legends and superstars.
Giulia revealed that the injury was unexpected and made her feel depressed. She also admitted that it’s hard because of the language difference and the different wrestling style between WWE and Japan.
“I have no choice but to work hard to get to that place where there are so many legends and superstars. It motivated me. To be honest, I was a little depressed because I had an injury that I didn’t expect. Of course, there is the language barrier, and I have to deal with the difference in style between WWE and Japan.”
Interestingly enough, WWE had denied the fact that Giulia suffered an injury and that was the reason why she had to drop the NXT Championship to Stephanie Vaquer at NXT Roadblock.
Nonetheless, Giulia will be called up to the Monday Night Raw roster alongside Roxanne Perez, but she still makes appearances on NXT television as her current partnership with the Prodigy is clearly going well. Therefore, we’ll have to wait and see how things pan out for Giulia in the coming weeks as it’s clear she is better than ever now.
