#1 Contender Battle Royal Match with WWE LFG and TNA Talents & More Booked for 5/6 WWE NXT

WWE’s not slowing down when it comes to NXT, and next week’s May 6 episode is already stacked—starting with a high-stakes opportunity for Trick Williams.

On the April 29 edition of NXT, Trick made it known he wants another crack at the NXT Title. Ava didn’t waste any time making the stakes clear. “You want another shot at the NXT Championship? Then you’re going to have to earn it. Win the 25-man battle royal next week,” she announced in front of the live crowd.

The winner of that massive match will go on to face Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at Battleground. The battle royal is set to feature not just NXT regulars, but rising stars from LFG and EVOLVE—making it a wide-open field and a big shot for newcomers to get noticed. TNA talents will also be invoved.

That’s not all on the table next Tuesday. Kelani Jordan will square off with Zaria after a heated exchange on this week’s show. Jordan had her sights on Sol Ruca’s NXT Women’s North American Title, but Zaria jumped in and demanded Jordan prove herself first. “You want Sol? You go through me,” Zaria warned.

Also confirmed is a six-man tag match with The Dark State taking on Joe Hendry, Hank, and Tank. After Dark State attacked Hendry earlier in the week, this matchup promises to get physical fast.

Additionally, Giulia will go one-on-one with Jordynne Grace, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. The winner of that match will go on to face Stephanie Vaquer for the NXT Women’s Championship at Battleground.

NXT is clearly loading the show as it continues its post-Stand & Deliver momentum, and with new faces entering the picture from WWE’s developmental pipeline, there’s a lot on the line.
