WrestleMania 41 already came to an end, but many fans were simply shocked that Chelsea Green wasn’t featured on either night at all. With that in mind, Green has now addressed being left off WrestleMania 41.
While speaking to Adrian Hernandez, Chelsea Green was asked about fans wanting to add a Women’s Intercontinental Title and a Women’s United States Title match to WrestleMania.
Green said that after such a busy year, WrestleMania is the biggest event, and she really wanted those titles to be part of the show. Chelsea Green felt there was a strong push for it, but also understood that there’s only so much time and space on the card. Even though she was disappointed not to be on WrestleMania 41 herself, she said she was proud of the women who were and thought they did a great job representing everyone.
“I mean, at the end of the day, of course after a crazy year, the pinnacle is WrestleMania. So I felt the want and the need for these titles to be on the show—I wanted them to be on the show. But at the end of the day, you know, we only have so many hours and so many spots on the card. And I think that the women that were on the show did an amazing job of representing all of us. So although I’m upset and I wish I could have been on it, I’m really proud of the girls.”
This comes despite the fact that there were pitches made for Chelsea Green to be at WrestleMania 41 in some capacity but ultimately, none of it came through and she was left off the card.
Chelsea Green has been one of WWE’s most entertaining and standout stars over the past year, so her absence from WrestleMania 41 upset a lot of fans who believe she deserves better. As the current Women’s United States Champion, many are now hoping WWE will start giving her more attention and opportunities. We’ll have to wait and see if she gets the attention she deserves in the coming months.
