Steve Austin showed up to WrestleMania 41 in full Texas Rattlesnake mode—but things might’ve gotten a little too real.
The WWE Hall of Famer roared down to the ring at Allegiant Stadium on a four-wheeler, but instead of his usual smooth ride, he misjudged the turn and slammed into the ringside barricade. The vehicle jolted into the crowd area, appearing to knock a fan back in the process.
Austin, unfazed, jumped out of the ATV and made his way to the ring like nothing happened. Once there, he addressed the live crowd of 63,226 fans and cracked a joke about the attendance. “I’ve been in a lot of buildings like this and it seems like there is more people in here than that number. I want a recount,” he laughed, before celebrating the moment with his signature beer toast.
But behind the scenes, the mood wasn’t quite as lighthearted. According to Bryan Alvarez of Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE officials are “nervous” about the incident. Alvarez explained, “Austin sprinting down in this ATV or whatever, and he flies around the ring, and he smashed into the barricade, and he knocks this woman back… and he jumps off and gets in the ring or whatever. Nick Khan flies over, and he’s talking to this lady, and we’ll see what happens, man.”
Dave Meltzer chimed in with a bit of sarcasm, saying, “Hey, Nick Khan is a smooth operator.” Alvarez responded, “He is. I heard they’re nervous about this one.”
So far, no official statement has been released by WWE or the fan reportedly impacted during the moment—but the viral footage is everywhere, and speculation is flying.
