WWE is wasting no time putting the spotlight on its newest (and most controversial) 17-time World Champion.
Following his shocking title win over Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41, John Cena is officially scheduled to open the April 21, 2025 episode of Monday Night RAW, Ringside News has learned. This will be Cena’s first live appearance since capturing the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of Night Two at Allegiant Stadium—and fans are bracing for what he has to say next.
Cena, who’s vowed to “destroy professional wrestling” since his return, isn’t showing any signs of slowing down. After winning the belt in brutal fashion—with help from brass knuckles and a low blow—his villainous reign is already stirring controversy online. WWE is now handing him the microphone to kick off what’s expected to be a chaotic episode of RAW.
Also appearing tonight is Jey Uso, who defeated GUNTHER to become World Heavyweight Champion on Saturday. This will be Uso’s first appearance as champ on the red brand, and the energy is expected to be electric as both titleholders address the WWE Universe.
