WrestleMania 41 filled Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, and there were many reasons to watch the show of shows this year. Saturday night had a loaded card, including a main event with a lot more on the line than just a title.
The main event of the night saw CM Punk take on Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. The Second City Saint also had Paul Heyman in his corner, as he cashed in his favor.
Seth Rollins came out first, and he had a legit flamethrower gun with him. He wasn’t shy about showing off, either. Then the lights went down, and he transformed from black clothes to white, and he made his way to the ring. Then Roman Reigns came out without Paul Heyman by his side. When CM Punk made his way out, complete with the Wise Man who was set to stand in his corner for this match, he received Living Colour singing him to the ring.
This match got started very slow as everyone felt each other out. Then they got down to business as they all tried to punish each other without any sort of discrimination. Roman Reigns hit a drive by on Rollins, and then they continued the match, with CM Punk waiting things out on the other side of the ring.
Punk and Rollins fought through the crowd, and Punk found a chair to beat Rollins with it. Then Seth beat Punk down with a trashcan for a bit. That was followed by a suplex from Punk through the garbage can. When the two got close enough to the barricade, Roman Reigns went flying over it to attack them both.
Roman Reigns started cleaning house when he got in the ring. He pointed upward before missing a Superman Punch on Punk, who reversed it into a swinging neck breaker. Rollins got out of a GTS, but then he ate a heel kick. Then Punk started nailing one running knee after another on Rollins and Roman before he hit a double DDT on both former Shield members.
The match continued and Punk kicked out after taking a Superman Punch from the OTC. Then Roman went for a spear, but Punk just kicked him in the face, which was followed by a melee of offense and a near fall.
Seth Rollins inserted himself, where he nailed a bucklebomb on Punk and Reigns. This brought a big cheer from the fans as they sang his song. CM Punk reversed out of a pedigree from Rollins, and then Roman nailed Punk with a spear. This was followed by Seth reversing a spear into a Pedigree, and then he hit a stomp for a near fall on the OTC.
Rollins missed a dive, and then Punk almost hit him with a GTS. This was followed by Roman Reigns nailing a spear. Then, Punk hit a GTS on Reigns for a very close two count.
Seth Rollins hit a pedigree on Punk for another near fall. Then Rollins got in Reigns’ face, saying that CM Punk doesn’t belong here. He wanted Reigns to team up with him to take Punk down, and then they took the fight to Punk at ringside. Rollins cleared off the announce table as Reigns made his way over to them. Roman punched Rollins and then he powerbombed Punk through the table by himself.
The match carried on, and they all eventually returned to the ring. There was near fall after near fall, and every man was out on the mat at one point. Punk nailed a GTS on Rollins and then Roman hit a spear on Punk before Rollins nailed a stomp on Reigns. Everyone was down and selling the damage from this match.
Paul Heyman walked over to grab a steel chair next, and he walked slowly toward the ring. Then he slid the chair to CM Punk, but before Punk could hit Roman with the chair, Heyman nailed a low blow on Punk, but he didn’t seem happy about it. Then Heyman handed the chair to Roman, who took it and pummeled Punk with the weapon. Then Reigns turned toward Seth Rollins, but Heyman nailed Reigns with a low blow as well, only to take the chair and present it to Seth Rollins. It seems that Rollins has cashed in his favor.
Rollins took a moment before he whacked Roman Reigns across the back with the chair, which was followed by a stomp for the win.
