Roman Reigns might rule WWE, but Hollywood’s been knocking on his door—and Paul Heyman’s—for years.
Following a polarizing Vanity Fair profile on The Tribal Chief, much of the attention focused on Reigns’ political stance. But behind the headlines was a different kind of story: Reigns has his eye on life beyond the ring. And according to Heyman, major studios have been circling for a while.
“Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman have been offered roles, projects, films, TV series, reality shows for the past several years,” Heyman told Fox News Digital. “This is nothing new.”
Heyman revealed that people in the film industry are practically lining up to work with them. “I can show you my phone right now, and there are people begging to fly up from Hollywood to take in a meeting either before or after WrestleMania about directing films, writing films, this project,” he said. And the offers aren’t small-time. “I’m not talking $1-2 million budgets. I’m talking real, substantial studio budgets.”
Despite the pressure to go Hollywood, Heyman made it clear that time has been the issue—not interest. “Because of the schedule and because of commitments, neither one of us have jumped on that,” he said.
As for Reigns, he’s clearly thinking about his next chapter—and his next contract. “Under the current contract, he doesn’t have the time… to pursue such goals,” Heyman explained. “As he looks at whatever the next deal may be, I’m sure he wants to carve out times that he can now expand his horizons.”
From the wrestling ring to the silver screen, it’s only a matter of time before Roman Reigns—and his wise man—take Hollywood by storm.
