SummerSlam 2025 just got a serious dose of star power.

During the April 18 episode of WWE SmackDown, the company officially announced that Cardi B will serve as the host of WWE’s first-ever two-night SummerSlam event, going down August 2 and 3 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The big reveal came during the second hour of SmackDown with a flashy video package hyping her role.

In true Cardi fashion, she had a warning for everyone heading into the biggest party of the summer: “Nobody better try me.”

With Cardi B locked in as the event’s host, WWE is doubling down on its commitment to making SummerSlam feel like a massive crossover spectacle. Her appearance is expected to bring a ton of mainstream attention—and possibly more chaos—to the already loaded weekend.
