Lex Luger is finally being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame this year after an amazing wrestling career. Many fans hoped Sting would be the one to induct him, but that won’t happen and now the reason for that has been revealed.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the reason Sting won’t be part of Lex Luger’s WWE Hall of Fame induction appears to be a decision made by Nick Khan.

Meltzer noted that there has been no indication that Tony Khan was contacted or asked if a deal could be made for Sting to appear. As of two weeks ago, no one had reached out to Tony Khan, so it seems no deal was made or negotiated for Sting’s involvement.

“As best we can tell, this was a Nick Khan decision in the sense we have not heard of Tony Khan being asked by anyone if they could make a deal for Sting. We only know as of two weeks ago nobody had contacted Tony Khan. But unless there is a late change, it would appear no deal was asked for nor negotiated.”

This comes after Tony Khan recently stated that he wasn’t really sure if Sting would be allowed to attend the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony to induct Lex Luger. It was then announced that DDP would be the one inducting Lex Luger into the WWE Hall of Fame this year.

Even though some fans may be upset that Sting isn’t part of Lex Luger’s Hall of Fame induction, DDP being there adds a special connection to Luger’s career. Fans will still be excited to celebrate Luger’s achievements as he gets inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Do you think Sting should have been involved in Lex Luger’s Hall of Fame induction, or do you feel that DDP is a fitting choice? Share your thoughts in the comments and let us know how you would have liked to see Luger honored!
