Kurt Angle is throwing his gold medal-level support behind a long-standing call from wrestling fans—give Chyna her solo WWE Hall of Fame induction.
While the late Ninth Wonder of the World was inducted posthumously in 2019 as part of D-Generation X, many still believe Chyna deserves her own spotlight for what she accomplished outside the faction. Now, WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle is adding his voice to the conversation.
Speaking to Bill Apter of Sportskeeda, Angle didn’t hold back. “She frontiered women’s wrestling and not just women but wrestling men too. She had such a huge impact on the business. She was part of the reason that the business skyrocketed,” he said.
Chyna made history in the ring, smashing barriers by competing in men’s divisions, winning the Intercontinental Championship, and being the original blueprint for what female dominance in WWE could look like. Tragically, she passed away in 2016, never getting to experience a Hall of Fame induction during her lifetime—whether solo or as part of a group.
This year’s Hall of Fame class includes Triple H receiving his second induction, this time as a solo act—something many believe Chyna has long deserved for herself.
Chyna’s influence can still be felt today, with Rhea Ripley frequently compared to her for redefining what women’s wrestling looks like at the top level. But the ultimate tribute would be that second ring, this time in her name alone.
