WrestleMania 41 will be taking place this week, but there’s still no indication that The Rock will appear at the event. Many fans are worried he might not show up at all, but now his status for the show has been revealed.
While speaking on the post-Raw show, Sean Ross Sapp was asked about The Rock’s status for WrestleMania 41 and whether he would appear. He expressed that it felt like The Rock should have been involved with Raw, SmackDown, or other shows, and questioned how he hasn’t appeared since then.
Sapp pointed out that WWE always claims to have a plan, but noted that The Rock was mentioned more before his major angle with John Cena, yet he has barely been brought up since.
Sapp also stated that after The Rock returns at WrestleMania, WWE would claim they made the fans forget about him, but he disagreed, emphasizing that The Rock is one of the most famous people on Earth and that fans haven’t forgotten. Sapp also stated that he does believe that The Rock will be at WrestleMania 41.
“It feels like he should’ve been on Raw or SmackDown or any of that stuff. How in the hell has The Rock not shown up since then? And he’s like, ‘Oh, we’ve always got a plan, always got a plan.’ They mentioned this guy more before he had one of the biggest turns of all time with John Cena, and they’ve barely mentioned him since.
And I know what they’ll do after he comes back at Mania — they’ll be like, ‘Well, we made you forget.’ No, you didn’t make us forget. You’re one of the most famous people on Earth. Absolutely not. Yeah, I do think he’ll be at Mania.”
Cody Rhodes is currently set to defend his WWE Undisputed Championship against John Cena at WrestleMania 41, and we will have to wait and see whether The Great One will make his presence felt during the match this week, as WWE clearly wants fans to keep guessing until the last moment.
