Chelsea Green is trending for all the wrong reasons—and fans aren’t happy.

The reigning WWE United States Women’s Champion has been noticeably left off the WrestleMania 41 card, despite her title reign, over-the-top character work, and growing fan support. Now, with just days until the biggest show of the year, Chelsea’s omission is becoming one of the most talked-about snubs heading into Mania weekend.

Her absence has sparked outrage across social media, and on April 15, Chelsea Green officially started trending on Twitter. Fans are calling out WWE for dropping the ball, especially since Green is one of the company’s most entertaining personalities. One viral tweet summed up the mood: “How is the United States Women’s Champion not on a two-night WrestleMania?!”

Even her husband, Matt Cardona, weighed in. The former WWE star took to Twitter to share his frustration, writing, “I know not everybody can be on #WrestleMania and I’m biased because she’s my hot wife, but how is @ImChelseaGreen not on a 2 night Mania?!”

Green was already gaining attention after her match with Zelina Vega on the April 11 episode of SmackDown, where a referee miscue led to an unplanned count-out. She leaned into the chaos by posting that she was “filing an IMMEDIATE injunction” and had “HIRED [her] LEGAL TEAM” to fix it—classic Chelsea Green fashion. But behind the scenes, Fightful Select confirmed that she was never scheduled for a WrestleMania segment, match, or even appearance.

As Sean Ross Sapp noted, WWE sometimes makes last-minute changes when fan pressure heats up. “Then they’ll put her in a skit or a segment or have her defend like really quickly,” he said. But as of now, Chelsea’s WrestleMania status remains in limbo.

Many believe the decision not to feature her is more than a creative oversight—it’s a missed opportunity. Fans have pitched ideas ranging from hosting segments to pulling off an impromptu title defense, but time is running out.
