A couple of months ago, reports noted that Drew McIntyre was very upset about how he got eliminated at the Royal Rumble, and he stormed out afterwards. LA Knight supposedly made an unexpected move that messed up the planned spot involving Damian Priest, which led to Drew’s frustration.

While speaking to Gorilla Position, LA Knight addressed rumors about having backstage issues with Drew McIntyre at the Royal Rumble. When asked about the speculation, Knight said he always seems to have heat but added that he’s too old to deal with that kind of drama. He explained that everyone had to leave because the show was over and that at some point, everyone had to go home.

“I’ve always got heat—when don’t I have heat? At the same time, I’m too old for heat. I don’t deal with that. We had to leave because the show was over. Yeah, at some point, everybody’s got to go home.”

When asked if McIntyre stormed out, Knight said he had no idea. By the time he got to the monitor to watch the rest of the show, McIntyre was already backstage. He added that he didn’t even know anything had happened until he was home on Sunday night and someone sent him an article about it.

“He stormed out? I didn’t even know. No, no idea. I got to the monitor, I saw the rest of the deal, and—no, he was already back there before I was. His ass got tossed already. I didn’t know anything about it, okay? I didn’t know anything about it until I was sitting at home Sunday night and somebody sent me an article. I was like, ‘Ah, that’s interesting.'”

When questioned about how rumors like that are handled and whether they communicate with each other afterwards, Knight said he couldn’t reveal the inner workings but confirmed that conversations were had and there were no problems between them, saying, “Look, I can’t tell you the inner workings here, but there were some conversations had, I’ll tell you that. There were no problems.”

Drew McIntyre also recently addressed the rumors of his drama with LA Knight and made it clear things didn’t get messy. Regardless, LA Knight and Drew McIntyre appear to be on good terms and are staying professional as WrestleMania gets closer. With important matches ahead and championship goals, both Superstars are focused on their work, not backstage drama.
