WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg is putting in serious work for one last run—and now, he’s confirmed exactly what fans have been waiting to hear.

Speaking to My San Antonio, Goldberg revealed that he’s officially preparing for his WWE retirement match, which he expects to take place “at some point prior to the end of 2025.” He continued, “I do not know who, when or where I’m wrestling,” but emphasized that the match is coming—and he’s training harder than ever to make it count.

The former Universal Champion has been working out locally at The Black Diamond Martial Arts facility in Boerne, Texas. The gym recently shared photos on Instagram of Goldberg going through MMA training sessions, giving fans a rare look at his preparation. “Day 2 in the books. Lots of improvement from day 1,” they wrote. “Thanks @goldberg95 for trusting us with your comeback!”

They also thanked UFC fighter Relentless Badger for stopping by to get some rounds in with Goldberg as part of the intense training process. The gym teased that training videos are coming soon, which could give fans their first real glimpse at Goldberg’s evolving style.

Goldberg had previously mentioned that he still needs to be medically cleared for his final bout, but judging by the level of training he’s undergoing, he’s not phoning it in. Known for his raw power and explosive entrances, Goldberg diving into mixed martial arts suggests he’s planning to bring something new to his farewell fight.

Who his opponent will be—or whether it’ll even happen under the WWE banner—remains unclear. But one thing’s for sure: Goldberg’s not leaving quietly.
