Alexa Bliss might be waiting in the shadows—but there’s finally an update on what’s going on behind the scenes.
During a Q&A on Fightful Select, Sean Ross Sapp confirmed what fans have suspected for weeks: “The information I was given is that there were some plans to tie Alexa Bliss in creatively with the Wyatt 6. Bo Dallas’ injury led to WWE keeping the entire group off TV.” That injury to Dallas—who plays Uncle Howdy—appears to be the main reason the entire storyline has been shelved.
Bliss made her return during the Royal Rumble earlier this year and quietly signed a new WWE contract. But just as quickly as she reappeared, she vanished. “Alexa Bliss returned at the Rumble, signed a new contract, and was taken off TV and removed from the Mania week schedule,” Sapp added.
One source told Sapp that the Wyatt Sicks may not show up until after WrestleMania, revealing, “Creative was already set.” With WrestleMania 41 locking in its top programs, WWE apparently chose to keep the faction benched until the timing is right—possibly in the weeks following the event.
This lines up with what Dave Meltzer said back in March: “The belief is that Bliss is off TV and will return when they start the Wyatt Sicks back on SmackDown.” At that time, fans had already noticed clues, like the static glitch during Bliss’ match with Candice LeRae, which many believed was a nod to her old alliance with Bray Wyatt.
Bliss has only fueled speculation. She reposted a throwback photo with Jason Baker—Bray Wyatt’s longtime mask designer—who’s believed to be heavily involved in the Wyatt Sicks’ presentation. She followed that up with a cryptic X post featuring a Ross Geller meme: “I’m fine, okay? I’m great!”
Then came her Instagram Story this week, where she teased: “I have a busy week. Thursday Nobu, Vegas on Friday.” Fans quickly noticed that SmackDown happens to be in Vegas on April 18, and the idea of Bliss showing up at the T-Mobile Arena has now become a hot talking point.
Originally, Bliss was scheduled for WWE World during WrestleMania weekend but was suddenly pulled. Sean Ross Sapp previously mentioned that she had been planned for a tag team storyline that was later dropped without explanation.
At this point, all signs point to Alexa Bliss returning in sync with the Wyatt Sicks—just not until the Bo Dallas situation is resolved and the creative window opens.
