Drew McIntyre is going into WrestleMania 41 with blood on his hands—and his scalp.

The Scottish Warrior unloaded on Damian Priest during the April 11 episode of WWE SmackDown, blindsiding the World Heavyweight Champion and sending a violent message just days before their Sin City Street Fight. But the real shock came after the cameras stopped rolling.

McIntyre jumped on Instagram to show off a brutal gash on his head, revealing he busted open his scalp in nearly the exact same spot that once required 16 staples after his Hell in a Cell war with CM Punk. Alongside a bloody photo, McIntyre simply wrote, “Some wounds never truly heal.”

Despite the fresh cut, there’s no word that the injury will pull McIntyre from WrestleMania. PWInsider noted there’s “been no talk that the cut will keep McIntyre from competing next week.”

During SmackDown, McIntyre didn’t just get revenge—he delivered a statement. After ambushing Priest, the two tore into each other in a chaotic brawl that ended with McIntyre drilling Priest’s head into the steel steps with a vicious Future Shock DDT.

With their match just days away, the injury only adds more fuel to the fire. McIntyre and Priest are set to throw down in what’s being billed as a no-rules Sin City Street Fight at WrestleMania 41, and judging by what we saw Friday, it’s going to be a violent one.
