Despite their viral verbal shoot on live TV, WWE is keeping things exactly where they planned—Charlotte Flair vs. Tiffany Stratton is still full steam ahead for WrestleMania 41.

While many fans assumed their promo segment on the April 4 episode of SmackDown might have thrown the match into chaos, that’s not the case. According to Fightful Select, WWE hasn’t changed creative direction at all. One source made it clear: “The creative direction hasn’t changed in that regard.”

Charlotte mocking Stratton’s voice and Stratton clapping back with the now-infamous “0-3” marriage dig wasn’t part of the script—but even with all that drama, WWE is sticking to the plan. In fact, the whole idea of pairing Flair and Stratton up for WrestleMania was reportedly mapped out before Charlotte even returned to the ring.

The match is still expected to go down on Night 1 of WrestleMania 41, and despite the fireworks during that off-the-rails promo, there’s no internal concern that things will get messy between the ropes. As for who’s winning? Nobody backstage is spilling. One source told Fightful that “talent aren’t typically told the winner/loser result until the day of the show.”

Even with WWE scrubbing the segment’s most personal jabs from digital platforms and producers calling it “a wreck” backstage, it appears WWE is hoping the real-life tension fuels interest rather than derails the story.

Do you think WWE should’ve adjusted course after that promo, or is letting Charlotte and Tiffany settle it at WrestleMania the right call? Drop your take in the comments.
