Jordynne Grace may have shut down her side hustles to join WWE, but don’t get it twisted—she didn’t jump ship for peanuts.

After the internet exploded over reports that the former TNA Knockouts Champion “took a pay cut” to sign with WWE, new details clarify the real story.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer confirmed that Grace did accept less overall income compared to her TNA run—but not because WWE lowballed her. It’s because she walked away from lucrative outside revenue streams to go all-in with WWE.

“Scott D’Amore, who would know such things, said that Jordynne Grace took a deal for a lot less money than she was making to come to WWE and bet on herself,” Meltzer reported.

But this doesn’t mean WWE is paying her peanuts. In fact, it was noted earlier this year that her WWE contract is main roster level, despite debuting in NXT. That means Grace is still earning more from WWE alone than she ever did from TNA. The dip comes from shutting down ventures like OnlyFans and brand deals that once helped her rake in major cash.

And just so we’re clear: Jordynne Grace didn’t come to WWE out of financial desperation.

So yes, she bet on herself. But it’s not exactly a Cinderella story. It’s more like a high-stakes power move—giving up multiple revenue streams for the chance to go full throttle under the WWE spotlight, with massive matches on the horizon.
