Gail Kim wasted no time making her next move after her shocking release from TNA Wrestling—and now, it’s official. She’s heading to the Crockett Cup.
On April 11, the NWA dropped the news: “Breaking News! Pro Wrestling legend Gail Kim is coming to the Crockett Cup! We’re honored to announce that Gail Kim—multi-time champion, trailblazer, and Hall of Fame icon—will be live and in person for an exclusive autograph signing at the 2300 Arena.”
This marks Kim’s first announced wrestling-related appearance since parting ways with TNA, and it’s already a big one. While she won’t be stepping into the ring—yet—her presence at the Crockett Cup could be the first of many major stops.
And the timing couldn’t be better. Just days ago, Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp confirmed that Kim “does not have a noncompete. She can work for any wrestling company. Wherever. Immediately.” That instantly kicked off speculation about where the Knockouts legend could land next, with names like AEW, ROH, and even NJPW getting thrown into the mix.
Even AEW’s Jim Ross weighed in, calling her “very, very valuable and [someone who] does a great job.”
Kim’s departure from TNA caught fans off guard, but she made it clear on Instagram that she’s not done. “More than anything I am grateful for all the years and opportunities I was given to help build something I always dreamed of,” she wrote. “This will not end my passion or my love for wrestling and this is not the end of Gail Kim in the wrestling world.”
And now we know—she meant every word.
