Penta might have just landed in WWE, but he’s already talking about one of the most sacred traditions in lucha libre—and he’s not ruling out putting his iconic mask on the line.
The Monday Night RAW star recently spoke to Sebastian Hackl of WWE Deutschland and was asked if he’d ever consider wrestling without his mask. While fans shouldn’t expect it anytime soon, Penta made it clear that under the right circumstances, it’s absolutely on the table.
“In my present? No,” he said. “In ten years… I would like maybe a mask vs. mask or mask vs. hair or mask vs. something. Something special.”
Then he dropped the dream match fans never knew they needed: “My dream match, mask vs. mask, Penta vs. Fenix. I don’t know when. Maybe only in my mind it happens, but maybe in 10 or 15 years it’s possible.”
The idea of the Penta brothers colliding with everything on the line is massive—and now that both are signed to WWE, the chances of that becoming reality just got a little more real.
Penta’s popularity is already surging with fans. His WWE Shop mask became a top seller before he even made his official debut in January. Now with Rey Fenix making his debut on SmackDown against Nathan Frazer, both brothers are officially active on WWE’s main roster.
Could this dream match be part of WWE’s long-term plans—or will it remain a fantasy?
