WrestleMania #1 Contender Gauntlet Match & More Set For 4/11 WWE SmackDown

WWE isn’t slowing down on the road to WrestleMania 41, and next week’s episode of SmackDown in Seattle is already shaping up to be a wild one.

The April 12 show, live from Climate Pledge Arena, will feature a multi-team women’s tag team gauntlet match, with the winners earning a WrestleMania shot at Raquel Rodriguez and Liv Morgan’s WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles. That match will include Katana Chance and Kayden Carter, Lyra and Bayley, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Starks, Piper Niven and Alba Fyre, and Maxxine Dupri and Natalya. That’s five teams going all out for a golden ticket to Vegas.

Also announced, Cody Rhodes will make his return to SmackDown. After weeks of emotional promos and mind games with John Cena, fans are wondering what Cody has up his sleeve with WrestleMania looming just two weeks away.

Rey Fenix is back in action as well after an explosive debut this past Friday. This time, he’s squaring off against Berto, which may serve as a launching pad into a deeper rivalry with Legado del Fantasma.

And speaking of heated rivalries, Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre are set for a face-to-face showdown. With McIntyre still wearing that eye patch and Priest keeping quiet since his vicious parking lot attack, tensions will be sky-high. A WrestleMania match between the two now feels inevitable.

WWE is clearly loading the deck as WrestleMania 41 closes in. More announcements are expected soon, but this card alone is enough to make next week’s SmackDown must-see.
