The AEW Dynasty pay-per-view will be taking place on April 6th, and Will Ospreay is set to compete in a solid match at the pay-per-view against Kevin Knight. However, it appears Will Ospreay was originally supposed to face someone else at the event.

According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Will Ospreay was originally set to face Jay White at the AEW Dynasty pay-per-view. However, due to White’s injury, Kevin Knight will now take his place in the match.

This comes after AEW fans were shocked when Jay White was unexpectedly pulled from the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. The company said an attack by the Death Riders was the reason, but in reality, White suffered an injury that will require surgery.

It was previously reported by Bryan Alvarez that Jay White’s injury is real but might not keep him out for too long, saying, “I heard Jay White was injured and needs surgery. I just heard it’s not expected to be a really long time, whatever that means, but he’s out. It’s a legitimate injury.”

With Jay White sidelined, Kevin Knight will now step in to face Will Ospreay at Dynasty. While the original match with White was highly anticipated, Knight is a talented competitor with a chance to make a big statement, and now the two will duke it out to see who comes out on top. Therefore, we’ll have to see who will win in the end.

How do you feel about Kevin Knight replacing Jay White in the match against Will Ospreay? Would you have preferred the original matchup, or are you excited to see what Knight brings to the table? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
