Scott Steiner may be long retired from the ring, but his Steiner Math promo? That beast is still doing numbers—and he’s finally breaking his silence on how he feels about it becoming one of wrestling’s most quoted promos ever.

In a new interview with Casual Conversations, Big Poppa Pump was asked directly about modern stars like MJF and Bron Breakker referencing the infamous math-laced promo during their own segments. His reaction? Pure Steiner.

“Well it’s pretty cool that, you know, this promo has, you know, stood the test of time,” Steiner said. “So, you know, I mean… it’s pretty cool.”

While Steiner admitted that MJF quoting the promo caught him off guard, it didn’t surprise him when his nephew Bron Breakker leaned into it. “I was surprised when MJF did it,” he admitted. “But it was natural that Bron did it. When he first started saying the numbers, people popped.”

And Steiner knows better than most that sometimes lightning just strikes. “You really never know what’s gonna catch on with the crowd,” he added. “This kind of seems to be lingering around all these years later.”

The Steiner Math promo first exploded in 2008 during a TNA segment with Petey Williams and Rhaka Khan, where Scott attempted to calculate his odds of winning a triple threat match in a promo that made zero sense—but was delivered with such wild intensity that it became a cult classic overnight.

Now, nearly two decades later, it’s quoted at shows, stitched into memes, and repackaged by stars across WWE and AEW. And while Steiner might be out of the ring, he’s clearly not out of the conversation.
