Triple H has officially welcomed WWE’s newest voice to the team—and he’s making it loud and clear that Mark Nash is already a hit.

Mark Nash, known to many sports fans as Mark Shunock, made his WWE SmackDown debut on the March 28 episode as the new in-ring announcer. The longtime voice of Top Rank Boxing and hype man for the Vegas Golden Knights stepped into the squared circle for the first time under WWE lights—and immediately earned the stamp of approval from the top.

“@MarkShunock crushed it in his first night as the in-ring announcer for #SmackDown. Congratulations and welcome to the team,” Triple H wrote on X/Twitter, officially co-signing Nash’s debut with the kind of public praise rarely thrown around lightly.

Nash didn’t waste any time showing his appreciation, “Honored to be here. Thank you to everyone who helped make this possible. #SmackDown”

The move to introduce Nash was confirmed earlier in the week, with WWE’s Joe Tessitore clarifying that while Nash would take over regular duties, longtime announcer Lilian Garcia will still make appearances. So fans of the classic voice don’t need to panic—but a fresh sound is officially in rotation.

With years of experience energizing massive arenas and calling high-stakes fights, Nash fits WWE’s sports-entertainment mold like a glove. And with Triple H in his corner already, his future under the WWE banner looks like anything but temporary.

What did you think of Mark Nash’s WWE debut? Should WWE keep blending sports personalities into their shows? Drop your reactions in the comments—we want to hear what you think.
