Samantha Irvin unexpectedly left WWE before an episode of Monday Night RAW in October, which definitely came as a shock to the world of professional wrestling. Since then, many have wondered if she will return to wrestling, and now Irvin has confirmed she will eventually return to the business.
A fan recently took to Twitter and criticized Samantha, claiming she kept changing her career goals in wrestling. They said she first wanted to wrestle, then wanted to be a manager, and now wanted to be a booker.
“Bro she don’t know what she wants, she said she wanted to wrestle, then said she never said that and wanted to be a manager, and now just recently she said she wants to be a booker…”
Samantha Irvin clarified that she never wanted to wrestle. She explained that she always wanted to be a manager and that Michael Hayes suggested she could be a good booker, saying, “Never said I wanted to wrestle I said I wanted to Manage and Michael Hayes said I could be a good booker.”
The fan then accused her of not putting in enough work, mentioning that Paul Heyman had to struggle in WWE for years and that many others endured Vince McMahon’s leadership for decades before getting a chance.
“Yet didn’t wanna put the work in that everyone before you had to put in. Paul Herman was treated like shit by the WWE for years before they let off him. Everyone there now had to endure Vince for decades before getting a shot.”
Irvin fired back, saying the fan would never know as much about WWE or the wrestling business as she does. She also stated that they would never put in as much effort as she has. Finally, she confirmed that she will return to wrestling while the fan will still be tweeting about it.
“Bro you will never know more about that company or the business than I do. And you’ll never put in as much effort and work as I have and you’ll never learn what I’m currently learning. I’ll be back and you’ll still be tweeting about it.”
A fan suggested that Samantha Irvin managing Ricochet in AEW would be a great move and said they would wait to see what happens first, saying, “Tbh you managing Ricochet in AEW would be money, which ever happens first we’ll see.” Irvin responded with excitement, simply saying she “can’t wait.”
Samantha Irvin is definitely coming back to wrestling, but when and how is still unknown. Whether she joins AEW to manage Ricochet, takes on an authority role, or does something entirely new, fans are excited to see what’s next for her.
Should Samantha Irvin continue as a manager, or would she thrive as a booker? Do you think AEW should be her next destination? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
