It looks like Evolution 2 is finally more than just wishful thinking.
After months of silence and fan speculation, a new update on March 27 may have just confirmed what WWE fans have been waiting years to hear—Evolution is making a comeback in 2025.
According to @WrestleVotes on X, “After speaking with sources, we can confirm WWE is set to bring back the highly anticipated ‘Evolution’ PLE this summer. The return of the all-women’s event is expected to be officially announced before WrestleMania. Credit to @Cory_Hays407 who had heard rumblings of this rumor weeks back.”
This comes after initial reports earlier stating that WWE was looking to host Evolution on July 5 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut. That initial scoop got fans fired up, especially since the original 2018 Evolution pay-per-view is still widely praised for delivering standout matches and giving the women’s roster the spotlight it deserved.
While some skepticism remained due to Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select saying “I have yet to hear that, just outside of the reports. I have not confirmed that,” this latest update adds serious weight to the rumors—and the timing makes sense. With WrestleMania right around the corner, WWE loves to drop big announcements during the hype.
Bayley and countless fans have been calling for Evolution’s return for years, and if this report is true, WWE might finally be giving them what they’ve been asking for.
What do you think—should WWE go all-in with Evolution again? Or is it too late to recapture that magic? Please share your thoughts and feedback in the comment section below.
