SmackDown is getting a fresh voice—and it comes with a Vegas flair.
On March 27, Mark Shunock dropped a major update on social media, revealing he’s officially stepping in as the new ring announcer for WWE SmackDown. But don’t expect to hear “Shunock” over the loudspeakers—he’ll be using the name Mark Nash moving forward.
“SmackDown, let’s do this!!!” Shunock posted on X, confirming his debut will go down on the March 28 edition of the blue brand. That night marks a new chapter for the show following the recent exit of longtime announcer Lilian Garcia, who announced she’s wrapping up her time behind the mic.
Shunock isn’t new to big-time sports energy. He’s spent years working with Top Rank Boxing and also serves as the in-arena host for the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights. Now, he’s bringing that same high-energy presence to the squared circle.
WWE is clearly aiming to freshen things up on Friday nights—and Mark Nash looks ready to bring the heat with every single “introducing…”
