Looks like John Cena doesn’t find the “invisible man” jokes funny anymore.
For two decades, WWE fans have clowned around with the “You Can’t See Me” gimmick — a line Cena made famous and stamped across everything from T-shirts to towels. But now that he’s taken a dark turn as a heel, Cena’s merch is getting a villainous makeover too.
Eagle-eyed fans watching WWE Raw in Glasgow noticed something very different about the hat Cena was wearing during his fiery promo. The classic red slash that usually crosses out the “C” in “U Can’t See Me” was suddenly behind the letter, not over it. Translation? You CAN see me.
That wasn’t all. A Glasgow-exclusive sweatband and towel set also featured wristbands with a yellow “C” placed in front of a red slash — further reinforcing the updated message. In other words, Cena’s done playing ghost, and he wants you to know exactly who he is now.
It’s a subtle but clever rebranding — and one that lines up with his recent villainous rants. On Raw, Cena ripped into the WWE Universe yet again, warning that he plans to “ruin wrestling for everyone.” And based on his shifting merch, it’s clear he’s fully committed to this darker chapter.
For now, the rest of his merch on WWE Shop — including hats, shirts, and socks — still carry the OG “You Can’t See Me” design. But if this Glasgow drop is any clue, it won’t be long before the updated “You Can See Me” gear hits shelves everywhere.
Cena’s next appearance will be on Raw in London, where he’s set to come face-to-face with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes again. Expect sparks — and probably another wardrobe update.
