AEW star Saraya is no stranger to public attention, but being in the spotlight hasn’t always been glamorous — especially when it comes to her personal safety.

In a new interview with Sports Illustrated, she revealed she had to legally change her name to protect herself from obsessed fans who crossed serious lines.

“I’ve had so many fans come to my house,” Saraya shared. “I had a guy that had no shoes on and a ripped shirt that was trying to get in my house. I’ve had people send stuff to me. People have camped outside my house before. So now I have to put everything under a different name. There’s no way I could have my name on my house.”

While fans might feel connected to the stars they see on TV every week, Saraya’s story is a reminder that boundaries matter. It’s not just creepy — it’s dangerous. Some fans have gone to the extent of showing up barefoot, tearing up her mail, or even trying to force entry into her home. That’s not support — that’s stalking.

Sadly, this isn’t an isolated case. Many female performers across wrestling and entertainment have shared similar experiences, where admiration turns into unhealthy obsession. Saraya, like many others, has been forced to take extreme precautions just to feel safe in her own home.

She still appreciates her fans but wants people to understand that her private life should remain private. Fame doesn’t mean forfeiting your right to feel secure, and Saraya’s decision to operate under a different legal name is one more step in taking back control of her life.

What do you think about Saraya having to change her real name because of stalkers? Should the wrestling industry take stronger steps to protect its talent from this kind of behavior? Drop your thoughts in the comments — your voice matters.
