Pat McAfee is back at the desk.
After missing last week’s WWE RAW in Brussels due to ESPN duties, McAfee has officially returned to commentary alongside Michael Cole for today’s special live edition of RAW from the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland. The show airs live on Netflix at 4 PM EST / 1 PM PST.
The brief absence led to Corey Graves filling in, prompting some to wonder if WWE might be sliding him back into a more regular main roster role. During a recent Q&A, Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select commented on Graves’ future, saying, “Graves is supposed to be the go-to slide him in guy and there were a lot of people there that thought that eventually that would just lead to him being back on RAW or SmackDown.”
But with McAfee back on the call this week, it’s clear WWE still has him firmly in place — at least for now. Corey Graves, who’s been shuffling between NXT and main roster appearances, remains a top utility name for commentary duties whenever a fill-in is needed. And while his deleted tweets earlier this year stirred up conversation about his role, Graves is reportedly still viewed as a valuable voice by WWE higher-ups.
Whether this means WWE will lean more on Graves during future schedule conflicts remains to be seen, but for now, McAfee fans can relax — he’s right back where he belongs.
