Saraya Reveals Why She Wants to Step Back from Pro Wrestling in 2025

Saraya may have built a legendary career inside the ring, but now she’s ready to explore life outside of it.

During a recent appearance on the B4 The Bell podcast, the former AEW Women’s World Champion opened up about her future—and confirmed she’s ready to hit pause on her wrestling career when her AEW contract expires.

“My contract is coming to an end, and I want to take a step back from wrestling for a little bit and focus on everything outside of it,” Saraya explained. “That’s not to say I’m never coming back to it—I’m not giving up on wrestling forever. It’s my life. But right now, I just want to focus on acting, this book, and my podcast. 2025 is gonna be the year of Saraya—the non-wrestling side of her.”

It’s a big change of pace for the trailblazer once known as Paige in WWE. While some fans speculated about a return to WWE or a new AEW storyline, Saraya made it clear she’s putting herself first in the coming year—and she’s not afraid to shift gears to make that happen.

Between acting, writing, and her growing podcast platform, Saraya has a lot on her plate—and she’s choosing to embrace it fully.
