The March 17 episode of WWE Raw was packed with big moments, but one match left fans scratching their heads—Jey Uso beating Austin Theory in just over a minute. Now, the original plan for the bout has been revealed.

According to WrestleVotes on WrestleBinge, the match was originally slated for 11 minutes. It’s unclear if John Cena’s extended opening promo played a role in the drastic cut, but Cena’s segment did impact other parts of the show.

“This match was spaced out for 11 minutes last night. I don’t know if Cena drawing out the opening of the show affected it. I know it affected other things on the show, save for this match. But I can tell you that it was spaced out for 11 minutes.”

Many fans were stunned by Theory’s quick loss, especially since he barely got any offense in. While some took it as a burial, WWE wasted no time setting up Theory’s next move. It was immediately announced that he will team with Grayson Waller on next week’s Raw in Glasgow against Jey Uso and a mystery partner. Adding fuel to speculation, Joe Hendry responded to a teaser about appearing, making fans wonder if he could be the surprise tag team partner.
